Burning DVD image

Post by new_horizon »

Hi

I am using ULead DVD Factory 3.0 and am having an issue. I want to save my DVD as an image file and then burn onto other multiple DVDs instead of having to recreate the whole menu each time. However, when I do this, the image burns onto the DVD but the disc skips and freezes in playback in a normal DVD player...any ideas?

Many Thanks

When you get to the page to burn, there will be a double v on the right side, click on it and you will have the option to create folders or image, uncheck write to DVD and check the box you want.

Faulty media maybe?

No, basically what I am trying to do, is burn a DVD and then rip that DVD image after the project has successfully burned. However, the image is burned to another DVD easily, but the DVD skips, this has happened on multiple occassions.

Thanks

If the original dvd doesn't skip and is good source material:
Use Data-Add or Nero to create the image file and create multiple copies.
Nero has options to correct or report read errors.

When burning the dvd it's best to burn at max 4x speed. Higher burner
speeds can cause errors on the dvd Manually set the burner speed to 2x
or 4x in the burner options with Nero or MF. Try not burning at the MAX setting.

Always check the "Verify Write" to ON if possible. This compares the source material on the harddisk to the new burned dvd.

You can also include the project file on dvd for saving the menuing system. Still have to have the source material on the harddisk though.
"Edit DVD" can also bring back the menuing system.

Hope this helps,

MD
