I downloaded the trial version of Videostudio but now realize I have to have the plug in for my Sony Camcorder and it is not available to download without purchasing the program. I would like to try the program before buying. Any ideas how to get the plug in trial?
Thank you.
Plug in for Sony Camcorder

Don't think there is a way to get the plugin unless you register your VS9 with Ulead. Ulead has to have your VS9 serial number on file before you can
download the plugin file.
If you have a High Definition Sony Camcorder VS9 will not output to tape, it will only save to disk.
To be able to output to tape you need Media Studio Pro.
The try before you buy version will work with the HD Sony camera both was, input/output.

I have a Sony Camcorder and the full version of Video Studio.
As far as I am aware the only "plug in" you need is an IEEE1394 (iLink / firewire) cable and IEEE1394 port on your computer.
Don't know which country your from but here in the UK at "PC World" (Groan) you can buy something named "Video Editing Kit" for £15 (GBP)
this kit contains an IEEE1394 card for your motherboard plus the cable to connect it to your Sony camcorder. There is also a CD containing some capture software but you can throw the CD in the dustbin.
Trouble with most camcorders when you buy them is that although they (mostly) have a firewire slot, they only give you a USB cable - another item for the dustbin.

Thank you for your input
I have a sony digital 8 [TRV-250] camcorder which uses 8mm video cassette tapes. In order to use the trial version I have to have the plug in to upload the video to the program to edit it.
Oh well. Guess I will try another version of softwear. I love Ulead products and hate I cannot use this trial version.
Thanks for your input. Have a great week.
