I have a HP Media Center PC. I am using VS9. I am able to capture digital video and sound without any issues when using a Sony TRV-38 as the input device via firewire. It captures and plays just fine. However, when I try to capture analog video from a VCR or the cable TV signal using the the Conexant 2388 video card all I get is the video no audio.
I have tried selecting all the inputs (line in, mono, etc.) I can find nothing muted. Am I doing something wrong or is this a setting problem. It only happens in analog capture.
Using Media Cneter I can see and hear the video and sudio just fine so I know the audio signal is entering the computer because Media Center can play it in TV mode.
I would greatly appreciate any help.

Sorry - don't know your level of computer competence - when you were selecting options from the Windows Recording Control panel did you have all options visible - the reason I ask is because when I capture from analogue sources I have to select the 'Aux' option in the recording panel and this is not always visible by default - use 'Options' >> 'properties' >> 'Recording ' and then make sure 'Aux' is ticked
