Im using Videostudio 9. And in the Video Save Options/Compression menu I want to use the bitrate that I calculated with another program, but I dont know that 1 kbit = 1000 bits or 1 kbit = 1024.

almost since computing began software manufacturers have used 1Kb = 1024 bits while disc manufacturers have used 1Kb = 1000 bits which is why a DVD you buy may be labelled 4.7Gb but in software terms will only hold 4.38 Gb.

Surely this is not a great problem for you - try the bitrate setting you have calculated - VideoStudio will tell you if the file is to big to burn to DVD and you simple need to re-calculate.
