Brady Bunch (Picture in Picture) effect

Post by TubaDad »

I have searched to no avail. I am just getting started with MSP and would like to figure out how to do the Brady Bunch effect with MSP, or at the very least how to insert a picture in picture. In VS this is easy becasue the overlay track automatically adds the new clip in a sizable block on top of the primary track. How do you do the same thing in MSP? I am assuming I can do the Brady Bunch effect with many picture in pictures just because there are multiple video tracks.

Thanks for the help.

You can do this effect with 2d basic moving paths. In fact, if you are using MediaStudio Pro 8, the production library contains a caterory called Picture in Picture under Moving Path.

Hope that helps.

I've created a bundle of 24 custom PIP's you can download here;

http://digitalvideo.8m.net/24pip.zip

There is another package that consists of a portrait and landscape moving path for use with photos;

http://digitalvideo.8m.net/portrait.zip

Installation instructions included in both *.zip's.

Ken and Terry, thank you. Moving path is a new term for me. I thought I had looked everywhere.

Terry, a quick question on your custom files. Do the MVP files have to stay where I reference them, or are they magically imported into MSP and I can delete them after I have them loaded. I am just trying to determine the best place to keep them.

Thanks again.

Hi Terry!
Are the downloads still available? I keep getting a message similar to this:

You do not have permission to access http://digitalvideo.8m.net/24pip.zip

I tried to get these a month or so ago and had the same problem. Steve's post reminded me that I was not sucessful. Any idea what might be going on?
