Studio 9 start up issue

Hi there I have just recently purchased studio 9. All was great until two days ago. For some reason which I hope you may be able to help me with every time I try to open Studio 9 software I get told

"Cannot initialize application" and that "the screen resolution is too small to play video. The screen resolution must be set to at least 1024x768"
I've resize the screen through the control panel and tried all resolutions but I always get the same error message.

Could some one tell me what I should do.

If you have the boxed version, then go to Control Panel > Add/Remove software, find VS9, then select the Repair option that should be presented. Insert the VS9 disc. If you have the download version, you might have to reinstall VS9 completely. With either course, make sure you have the screen resolution already changed to one that VS9 can accept. It could be that your installation remembers the original setting in which it could not play, and needs to be jolted (repaired) into seeing the new resolution.

Ken, thanks for the advice I have tried to repair and to reinstall. I must admit I have not done anything with the screen resolution, but I have my screen setup as 1024x768 all the time.

When I first installed the sofeware three weeks ago every thing worked very well. Now for some reason this issue has shown up.
