Flash exports looping !

Post by mattyduk »

Hi, I'm trialing Cool 3d PS, and so far I am very impressed.

However, I have created a simply 50 frame animation. When I export it as .swf (flash) and either view it in a web page or inserted into Powerpoint using the Swiff Powerpoint addin, the animation loops

How do I stop this from happening. I just want the animation to play once.

It also does it for animated gifs :(

so, nobody got an answer. Ulead for example. I was quite tempted to buy this package, but if this is the level of support I can expect, then I think I will stop using it after the 30 day trial ends :(

great shame as it showed potential.

If you have a look at the top of the page, you will see that this is a User to User web board, and it states that Ulead is not obliged to answer on this forum. The people on this forum are everyday people who use the products, and have no stake in Ulead, they give up their time to help other people, and most don't enjoy having answers demanded of them.

That said, that is really the nature of a .swf, as well as an animated gif, it loops.

What exactly are you trying to achieve, ie do you really need the .gif or .swf, could you not use some other method?

Regards,
Greg

Hi mattyduk,

Sorry no replies to your post for so long...
I don't have an answer for you, as I too don't know how to stop the loop, when it is exported to a SWF. I know you have made sure that the Loop playback is not selected. I've tried with and without and the results are the same.

I don't know if this is a bug with Flashplayer, setting loop as the default or what. I may try importing the swf into my authoring program to see what it does..
