DVD burn question

Post by pbokros »

I have a 4.0 G project and when I try to burn it, it progresses to about 92% and stays there. When I remove the DVD it appears to work. I just cannot get a complete burn.

Try "burning" to your hard drive instead of an actual DVD.

On the burning screen, uncheck Create Disc, and check Create DVD folders.

This will help determine if you've got some sort of encoding/rendering problem or an actual burning problem.

Is there really only 4 GB on the partially-burned DVD? It's possible that the audio and/or video are being re-coded, and eating-up more space than you think. Even if you check Do Nott Convert, Workshop may not recognize the file as compliant, and it may recode it anyway.

I presume all your partitions are NTFS?

Burn to Hard Drive

Post by pbokros »

I can successfully burn to my hard drive. The problem occurs when I try to burn to a DVD. It reads a 4G. I tried with two types of DVD + - R.
Is there other software available that can burn the iso file to a DVD. That would help so I could burn on another PC.

I have had no problems burning with other DVD's, this is just the largest I have done in a while.

Thanx

I would recommend nero. My opinion is that this is the best burning programm. See www.ahead.de or www.nero.com. You can use a trial version to test if it works with your burner. Good luck!
