Making the Video Question

Post by legitnelite »

Alright, I have Ulead VideoStudio 8 SE VCD... and I've spent about an hour on editing this video. So i'm ready to make the project into an actual video file. So I click "Create Video File" On the Share bar and I choose .wmv (which i use for all my videos). And it's making the video, but when it gets to 33% around it stops there and makes the video file end there. So it creates a video that stops at 33% of the actual video I want. So basically it's not making the whole video... it's only making part. So i try different formats, and the others either stop the video there or make an error pop up there or just freezes up the program. But this video can play back with ulead under project perfectly, but i just can't seem to make it into an actual video file.

Please help! I spent to long on this video to not be able to make it!

Thank you! :(

Was your source-file WMV also? I don't have any experience with WMV, but like MPEG, it's a very compressed format. And I assume that, like MPEG, it is not meant to be edited.

Your source file may be corrupted. Sometimes a corrupted file will play OK, but cause problems when edited or re-coded.

If your source file is not WMV, try making an unedited WMV file. This will help you determine if the corruption (or other problem) is caused by the source file or by the editing process. (I have ended-up with corrupted MPEGs when I edited them with Video Studio or Movie Factory.)
