WMV HD NTSC (1280x720) ends up 320x240

Post by frischma »

I am using UVS V9 to create a slide show using high resolution images. At some time in the recent past I was able create a high definition video file (WMV HD NTSC (1280x720, 29.97 fps). Now, every time I select that option the resulting video is not HD but 320x240 pixels! I have no idea what program I installed or some other action I did which changed the video output from UVS to this low resolution file. All the parameters are indicated correctly in the window where the filename is entered before the rendering starts.

I uninstalled UVS V9 and reinstalled with same discouraging results. Does anyone have any idea why UVS goes to LaLa land when rendering WMVs? Also, what codec is used for WMV rendering. Is this codec visible in the Device Manager in the Video Codecs Properties window? Also, is there a way to make UVS use a codec which I have purchased for rendering videos? I haven't been able to find a way to implement this.

This post is for Media Studio Pro 8 but it has a link for the Microsoft WMV files to create HD video. http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=10077
