When creating VCD, the CD pops open BEFORE it's done

Post by IronMike778 »

Twice now I've tried to create a VCD on ULEAD 8 but have run into the same problem. While the burning process is at about 75%, the drive door opens up and the CD pops out. When the burning does actually finish, it tells me a disk was created successfully. Clearly an error.

When I then check the CD, it's got a bunch of files on it.

I have to assume others have seen this problem.......any ideas what I can do? Thanks.

how big is your file? remember you can get a maximum of 800 mb on a CD rom.

also you need to write at 1x rather that 4X-32X

can you play the vcd disc?

Using VS 8 you can add a player to the disc during the burn, through one of the options on the burner page, try that to see if the disc plays. use a Dvd - RW disc

Here's what's happening. The drawer opens up early and on my computer I still see another 25% of stuff to be done. If I then go to My Computer--->D: and double click, I have about 10 files or so. Is that normal? But if I open the Dell Media Experience I can actually play the video. However, the quality of the video sucks. Not nearly as good as the .mpeg file itself or the DVD.

Thoughts?
