I have applied music and several sounds from different sources in a project using a "sub-timeline" from the multiple timelines functionality. The audio levels of both the music and sounds have been adjusted to let the sounds "shine". When replaying it (in the "sub-timeline) I got the exact desired results. However, when transferring the clip from the sub-timeline to the main timeline all the audio level adjustments were gone and it played both the music and sounds as they were before any manipulation (e.g. music level were at 100% whilst i wanted some 20%). I have resolved the problem by creating an MPEG file directly from the sub-timeline and the audio was precisely as I have planned.
Am I doing something wrong with the multiple timelines? Or is it something else?
This is an excellent Forum and very much appreciate the support and hints of all the contributors.
