no audio when capturing

Good Day-
I have a Ulead DVD MovieFactory 4.0 wich worked OK. But I couldn't update it to 4.04 (the computer frizzed). I followed the instructions I got from Ulead, deleting few files belong to Ulead. It worked – 4.04 was installed. But, here the trouble begins – it caputers video but not audio.
I re-installed MF4, tried to restore my computer to an earlier time, before installing 4.04 patch/ AKK in vain
When capturing there is sound coming through my computer.

I use AVER DVD-EZmaker to capture. these are the file properties:

file format: PAL DVD
video type: MPEG-2 video
Attributes: 24 bits 720 *576 4"3
data rate: Variable bit rate
Audio type Dolby Digital Audio
Attributes 48000 Hz
Layer: none
Bit Rate: 256 Kbps
