Sony MicroMV "Failed to build a capture graph. [15065:2

When I try to capture I get the following error message:
Failed to build a capture graph. [15065:29:0].

(also "failed to build a preview graph" when starting the program)

WinXP
VS9
Sony MicroMV camera connected with firewire
Capture Plug-in = MICROMV MPEG Capture Plug-in
Device Control = MICROMV

The camera is detected and installed. The "Play, Stop FF & RWD" buttons in VS9 to control the camera but there is no preview or capture.
