Hi, just wondering if there is a way when you create the DVD menu's at the end of the project - just to have text titles rather than always including a video thumbnail image ?
Thx, Nick.
VS9 dvd menu, poss titles only ?

Daniel, i fear you are correct !
Shame really, the rest of VS is well equipped.
IMHO i'm not sure thumbnails come across well in a menu, since if its a person they tend to just look like stick figures !
I'm wondering about a workaround though ............
How about inserting a single frame at the begining or end of the clip with an image of your choice ? So this could be a graphic or even a zoomed in image capture of a bit of the clip (so in the person example you could zoom right in to get a reasonable thumbnail of the face)
Havnt tried it yet, so dont know if there is a minium clip insert ?
But anyway the theory being, the single frame shouldnt be too intrusive in the video section, and when you come to select your obligitary thumbnail you can goto your desired image.
Or anyone got any other poss alternatives ?

Nick200,
On the second screen of the Create DVD process you can deselect Motion Menu, to not have thumbnails with motion. You can also click on the thumbnail and a small popup will allow you to change what to show, from the clip, in the thumbnail.
Also, if you have PhotoImpact you can create custom templates, so with a little tweaking, I'm sure you could create a menu that would just show a title, or better yet a larger thumbnail.
Hope this helps,
Ron G.
P.S. Please take a few minutes to vote for a tutorial at http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=10263. Thanks!

Ron,
thx for input. Yes you can deselect motion menu's & choose which part of the clip you wish the thumbnail to come from but I just found that whatever you use as a thumbnail from a 'normal' video clip looks too small.
HOWEVER ! i did not realise that you can edit the templates from PHOTOIMPACT, so this indeed is a further option, and as you say with a little tweaking will be able to improve matters.
Just for curiosity though, i will also try a single frame insert and post the result, unless anyone already knows the answer !
Cheers
