IMPORTANT: MSPro8 hotfix & SCD installer problems....

Post by Terry Stetler »

Uleads Tobie Openshaw just posted this to MUG-SW;
Gents (and Ladies)

I am told that there will be a NEW installer, which will solve this problem,
released within the next day or two. My apologies, on behalf of Ulead, and
I will let you all know (although Terry will probably pip me at the post) as
soon as it goes up.

Oh and at the same time, I can also happily report that Luke, tireless PM
for MediaStudio Pro, just confirmed for me that the system for naming fixes
and service packs, etc. has been overhauled and centralized, so as to
prevent future issues with confusing numbering/naming.

Thank you very much to all of you for your valuable input.

Regards and best wishes for 2006

Hi! Hopefully this is the unbuggy version of the file?

Hello. I really do not know, but have installed the SCD successfully ... which seems to work properly. Please do not forget to backup MSP8 before you do any installation, just in case.
I still do not have the hot fix installed, since I know that I do not have the right version of MSP8.

The latest hot fix for MSP8 was posted today 1-26-06, it should work on all versions of MSP8.

thanks Tyamada. I have also noticed in a posting in this forum that apparently there is also a newer version of the SCD.

SCD installer problems

This new version of Smart Compositor Designer sure doesn't solve my problems. Still, after installing it, it crashes Pro 8 so badly (error in ulead.dat, whatever that may be), that I have to reinstall Media Studio Pro 8.

Hi Guys

I cannot find this SC hotfix - is it a stand alone or part of an MSP 8 update? The MSP 8 version I am running is 8.10.0039.0. - a silly question, but is that SP1 and the latest update???
Thanks & regards.
