Clear AVI but blurry mpg2

Post by zebra1057 »

Hello.

I hope somebody can help. I captured some footages from a computer monitor using Screen Recorder( like Camtasia software). The work is like a "how to" video in a computer. I got clear avi files.

However, when MS8 makes it into an mpg2 file, there will be about 6 seconds of excellent video then it will become blurry for around 6 seconds too, then it will be clear again. When I transfer it to DVD, it follows the cycle.

Is there a way to make it clear all the way through?

Thank you for any information as this may produce in some leads.

Please edit your profile to include your full system specs; CPU speed & type, how much installed memory etc. plus OS version and build, capture card if any etc. etc.

Also: what codec is that AVI saved in? AVI's are simply wrappers and the video therein can be compressed many ways including DV, MJPeg, DivX, XviD, Indeo, Cinepak etc. etc. etc. Each can present different issues.

You can find out the type of audio and video compression used in any video file by using the Insert Video File dialogs INFO button after you've selected the file.

Write down the A/V compression info, fill out your profile and call us in the morning :D :D

After you have recorded the screen with camtasia studio
You
1, Save
2. Post Save Options - produce my video in a sharable format
3. next
4. AVI Video
5. next
5. Video Compression - Microsoft Video 1
6. Next
7. Standard Video Size - select 720x576 (PAL) or 720 x 480 NTSC
8. press next 3 times
9 Give it a name and specify where you wish to save it.

This file should now be workable with MediaStudio
