Hotfix & smart compositor designer - any solution?

I find several topic entries on the problems caused by installing the hotfix and/or smart composer designer... but no fixes. Or am I overlooking one .

I'm one of the unlucky whose program is now useless.

This is the second time in a week that my working ULead software crashes when installing upgrades/updates/patches. (See the Web Board of DVD Moviefactory as reference.)

Is ULead actualy responding to technical problems with actual fixes?

My patience is gone now: no ULead products for me any more.
