Hi
Whenever my VideoEditor initializes, it freezes on 85%, when it is loading "Sonic Foundry Graphic Dynamics".
This has happened only recently, I fear I may have uninstalled something by mistake. Should I reinstall?
PS. I DO NOT HAVE A USER'S MANUAL!!!

Check that thread again. I gave links to a user manual and a suggestion as to how to get the PDF turned into a hardcopy one.
That said: some Sonic Foundry (and other) DirectX audio filters are not exactly well written, which makes them incompatable with MSPro. This almost always causes a hang when the Dx audio filters are loading, just as you discribe.
This has been very annoying over the years and a tough nut to crack as just when an MSPro patch nails down a few bad apples more come along with the same or similar code errors.
One thing you can try is DxMan. DxMan is a freeware tool that lists and allows you to enable/disable DirectX audio filters as you will. Work your way down the list of Sonic Foundry plugins until MSPro loads without hanging and it's served its purpose.
Be careful though as some video cards (ATI in particular) use Sonic plugins for their video/DVD players. The Info button should show the file link and at least give a hint in these cases. Uleads filters are clearly listed as belonging to Ulead.

Hope this helps.
PS: You might want to check the rest of the AnalogX site. There's some cool stuff in there....
