New to VS8 I have done some short movies and they worked ok. Created a pretty long program saved it as a video file went to share done all the menus backgounds etc playback was ok started burn disk all goes well but when I try to play in dvd player all I get is the root directory. Im sure its operator error but for the life of me I dont know what Im not doing.

Maybe I'm not reading your post quite right but I don't see any indication that you actually created chapters - if you did create chapters were you able to select them in the simulated DVD player in the burn module before actually burning your DVD ?? If you select and play the "Root Directory" does the whole video then play ? or what happens ??

You *tried* to create chapters ??? - can I suggest you have a look at my website (WWW button below) and have a look at the two pages entitled "Create a DVD" - I am still not sure what you are actually doing - do you run through the video selecting chapter points and "Add" them to you menu page.

Sorry if it's just me not understanding but could you run through your actual process step by step - maybe someone else has an answer ?
