DVD Workshop 2 Express installation problem
I purchased the boxed version of DVD WorkShop 2 Express and was told (by Ulead)if I own Visual Studio 8/9 or Media Studio Pro 8 the updated version will install. When I try to install the app. a message pops up stating no Ulead products are installed on my computer. I then point the installation to the directory where my Ulead apps are installed but the program will not load. Please advise... 
Try contacting Customer Service.
Give them the serial numbers of all of the products.
If you bought retail versions of Video Studio and/or Media Studio, try sticking the CD in your CD/DVD drive and point to that. (I'm not sure if that works with Ulead, but it works with some upgrade products.)
They used to call this the Special Upgrade Version. The $99 upgrade requires an older version of Workshop. The website says you can run the $149 upgrade if you have one of these:

I looks like the SE versions are not included... just in case that's what you have.
