3se frustrations

Post by georged »

Nothing but problems. Capture seems to work fine. Burn seems to work fine. When trying to play new burned dvd on home player- will not play at all- not recognizing any video. When I go back to program and try to edit disc/verify that there is something on it- I get a very strange error message that I can't even duplicate on my standard keyboard. What in the world am I doing wrong- please help!

I Assume that the DVD plays OK on your computer's software DVD player???

Some stand-alone players can't play "burned" DVDs at all. Some have trouble some formats. Try experimenting with different "blank" formats to see if one (or more) works on your player. DVD-R is the most compatible. DVD+R is slightly less compatable. DVD-RW and DVD+RW are less likely to work.

Sounds like the DVD didn't burn properly. Try creating DVD Folders or DVD image and use another burning program such as Nero to burn the disk.

3se problems

Thanks for the suggestions. I was afraid to use nero- as it was included in the package but the posts said it may cause as many problems as it may solve. I'm using DVD+R so maybe that's (part of?) the problem. If my DVD player won't play burned discs- that's a bummer- it plays other peoples discs and factory movies etc. Trial and error is getting old-thanks again for trying to help.
