can't burn anything now...

All of a sudden I can't burn either to file or disc. i keep getting a window that pops up and all it says is

ulead dvd moviefactory and a yellow triangle with an exclamation point in it and the box with ok. what the hell does that mean??? i burned a project only last week!!! does this software do damage to your hard drive? i just replaced mine and a few months later i am getting the same kind of problems with this. i should not have to keep reinstalling it to make it work. please help...

If you search for "exclamation" you will find a couple of suggestions.

This most likely is NOT your problem but last week I had problems burning to dvd and verify writes on the CD/DVD's.

I had a defective memory chip on the 2nd bank of the machine.
What was confusing was the machine appeared to be working properly.

Checked the DIMM in a memory tester. Definitely bad.
