I cannot play the mp3s

I'm using the UVS 9 . Everything is ok except the mp3s problems,When I 'insert audio to music track" the file still open but i cannot hear anything, and I cannot play in Preview . It says like this :
"unable to play the File. Error... "
One more thing, Still I can insert others (wma, wav, mpa, ...) except Mp3s
please help me

Are the mp3s licence protected? If so Ulead can't play 'em.

Why not convert the MP3 to a WAV file, since they work?

As has been mentioned many times on this Board, some MP3 codecs do not seem to be compatible with Video Studio. LameMP3 appears to be one of the most common in this regard. As has already been suggested, convert your MP3 to WAV, and that is sure to work.

Ken,

I'm using LameMP3 with Audacity (because it is the codec plugin required for it to export an .mp3 instead of a .wav) and I can use .mp3s created from Audacity. Perhaps, he just needs to install the codec required?

The only trouble i've had with MP3's is when they have been under 192 kbps
