WMV HD

Post by krwzmann »

Hi all. I'm working with HD Footage on MSP8. I'm trying to create a WMVHD file. I've selected wmv and selected and tried all of the wmv hd templates. The settings look to be right except for the fact that it says it's on a pocket pc setting. I've checked on my older system which I originally had msp8 on and when i pick wmvhd templates, i'm able to pick another setting besides the pocket pc setting.

With the system I use now, when I try to change the pocket pc setting to something with better quality, I only get a listing of other low settings. :? On the older system, that listing of other settings was much bigger. Do I need to download something onto my new system to give me the bigger list? For the most part, i've tried to keep my new system pretty isolated to just msp8 and my dvd authoring program. I keep it off the internet and don't download anything onto it that I don't need.

I hope i'll be able to created WMVHD files once again!

Thanks for any help.

You'll need to download and install Window Media Encoder. You can find it at this link: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/window ... fault.aspx

Help again. I just noticed that there's no option to encode in 1080 60i. I have all the options for 1080 30p / 720 30p...bascially all of the progressive formats. On my other desktop, I have the ability to encode in 1080 60i but i'm not sure what i downloaded for this.

Any ideas or links? Thanks again!
