Smart Compositor

Post by pbokros »

I just received an email from Ulead that allowed me to download a new Smart Compositor. The difference I saw in the text about this version was an option to allow me to create my own templates.

I have had no problems putting my own videos and overlays in the existing templates with what I initially installed.

I downloaded and successfully installed it but it does not look any different from what came with my orginal installation. I cannot find the option to create my own templates.

Also, will there be any more documentation that what was provided with the V8 User Guide.

Thanx

Be warned: the Smart Compositor Designer component seems to be crashing many users' MSP8.0 installations. See here: http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=10055

Looks like the problem is related to early builds of the ESD and Try Before Buy. My full boxed version has accepted the hotfix and SCD with no issues. Apparently the most recent ESD build has the hotfix included and also accepts the SCD.

My boxed version accepts it and it installs and appears to work, but I cannot Save the SC project. See the other thread for fuller details.

Has anyone actually managed to produce a template?

That does appear to be the case. But isn't the idea of a 'hotfix' or 'update' that it should fix poblems from early releases? If it can't install to early releases, then what's the point?

By the way, has Ulead announced this (that the problems are with an early ESD version) to be the case, or is it the collective conclusion of the users?

Looking forward to Ulead giving some response and fix for the problem.

With my boxed version of MSP8, I don't have any problem with Smart Compositor Designer. I've made several tests and explained that in
'http://www.repaire.net/forums/ulead-med ... -msp8.html'
That's in french, if you can't understand, tell it, I'll try to translate as best I can.
----------
2 ) projet/design tool .. /suivant/ set preferences : afficher l'arbre au maximum / suivant /
options de convert and save :
- save folder : choisir l'emplacement 'bureau'

I've finally encountered a problem with smart compositor designer :
With PAL and 16:9 ratio, creating and saving a model are OK, but when using the model, all the clips are bordered with a black line on the vertical sides (pictures reduced to 4:3)
= the program doesn't keep the ratio 16:9
And after adding in the main timelinen, no possible to modify.

Has someone got the same problem ?
