can't add a video file with Dolby audio in UVS9

Post by bellerophon »

I have been using VS7 for some time, and upgraded to VS9, in particular for being able to import (from my Sharp DVD recorder) and create videos with Dolby audio. I already burned successfully one DVD, but I now have the problem that when I want to add a video with Dolby audio in the share/create disk section, I always get the message "UVS9 has encountered a problem and must close". If the video file has lpcm or mpeg audio the import works OK.
Trying to understand what has changed since my successfull DVD creation, I found that I had changed my DVD writer for a Benq, and hence installed the BenQsuite and changed my Nero 5 to Nero 6. After uninstalling this software (except Benq video, a capture application from intervideo that would not uninstall) and repairing UVS9, the situation did not change.
Has anyone experienced such a problem, or has any idea on a possible cause ?
I use PAL std, and Dolby 256, but I dont think it is related.

Well, no more worry about this problem, I at last succeded to fix it ! I restored the system with XP tool at a point where UVS was working well (before installation of the DVD writer and bundled sw), and then reinstalled everything carefully, except the Qvideo application. It works ! I presume there might have been a conflict between UVS9 andQvideo, as they can share some module for dolby ? I mention it just in case it could be useful to somebody, but it looks like a particular situation...
