NEED HELP PLEASE

Hi Gord,
probably not much help in solving the problem but WinRAR is an archiving program, similar to WinZip. I don't know if it's used by Ulead or if it's just on your system. It's certainly not on mine, and wasn't part of my retail VS8 or downloaded VS9 trial.
It may be that you have WinRAR installed, and that it's set to be the default program to open compressed archives, such as .zip or .cab files amongst many others. You might try disabling it, and re-associating the various compressed file extensions with WinZip, if you have that installed.
And if I'm wrong in any of the above, there will no doubt be a torrent of corrective posts!
Good luck!

The Downloaded version of VS9 comes as an xxxx.exe file and is not in a WAR zip file. If that is what you have it is not a download.
Mine is named "UVS9_upg_na_e_rtm.exe" and is 181 MB long. It you got that over a dial up line I would not trust it. Even over a DSL line it would take --181 MB/40kb/sec = xxx sec. to get it. Like the last post, there was no key in the download. I know because I have had to re-install mine 2 times on two systems.
