video image size during playback vs8

Post by kirkiver »

I upgraded to VS8 from VS7SE. When rendering a captured file after editing, i click the share tab, select create video file, select custom, chose microsoft avi files, go to options, on the ulead videostudio tab, if 'perform non-square pixel rendering' is selected, when i play the file back, the image is smaller than the screen. if i do not select the 'perform non-square pixel rendering, i get a file that when played back fills the screen.

this never happened to me in VS7, but this was not an option in VS7 either. it is checked by default in VS8, so i have to make sure to uncheck it each time i create a 'avi' file.

i haven't been able to determine it there is a difference in play back when this option is selected, i don't use it now as i want a file that plays back fillling the screen.

if it matters i am capturing video with a ati all in wonder 9200, and with a hauppauge pvr 250 mce. the results are the same no matter which card i capture with, and i have tried this on two different computers to see if it made a difference and it didnt'.

thanks,

Kirk Iverson
