I am planning to make a video of track events--100 meter dash, etc. The original files are all mpegs and I know how to link them and put in title boards and so forth to get a dvd playable on television with menus, etc. I am using Video Studio 8.
One of the disadvantages of getting out of the mpeg/personal computer environment is the loss of the timer in the viewer playing the mpeg--e.g. you can see exactly that this or that 400 meter run just came in at 50.6 seconds...
Is there a way to add an overlay track which would be a digital stop watch? is there an mpeg on line somewhere that can be downloaded and added as an overlay?
Or does someone have a better idea of having a stop watch show up in mpegs that have been converted into dvd ntsc "TV" playable format?
Thnks.
Adding a timer to my track and field videos

there is video filter named Timecode that will do that.
You can download it somewhere, do a search on this forum for timecode
You will have to apply it separately on each clip though...
