simple question on editing

i have video studio 7. i have what i want to cut out on the timeline.
there is a yellow line in front and a yellow line in back of what i don't need.

how do i edit out what i don't want?

the yellow lines just indicate that that section of video is selected - they should not be appearing on your video - to remove bits of a video move the cursor along to the beginning of the bit you want to remove - use the scissor tool to cut the video - move the cursor along to the end of the bit you want to remove - use the scissor tool again. Now select the bit you dont want (so that it has yellow lines each end) and hit the delete key on your keyboard - the video vanishes and the rest closes up - keep doing that as many times as you need to - have a look at the 'Edit in Timeline' page of my website.
