I want to do an animation where eggs or tomatos are thrown at an image from off screen, splatter, and then run down to the bottom of the frame. Much like the audience would throw veggies at live (and bad) performers during the vaudville days.
I have absolutely no idea how to start this animation. Is Production Studio even the right software for this? I have an old version of Flash (ver. 4, which I don't know how to use) - would that be more appropriate to use?
I've searched the web for samples in any format but was not able to find anything close to what I'm trying to do.
HELP! Any ideas or suggestions or web site referrals would be greatly appreciated!

Adobe After Effects is probably the right tool for something like this. To be honest, probably the easiest and quickest solution is to actually tape some tomatoes/eggs being thrown against some glass. Using a green (maybe black) background, you should be able to key it out pretty well with your video editor. Seriously, this will be a lot faster than trying to create a 3D egg/tomato and then simulating a throw, breaking, and dripping realistically.
