start problems with video editor 8

hello,

i have download and install the trial version from media studio 8 pro in german, the installation background ist win xp sp2 on a acer travelmate 4100 with 1 GB Ram.

the installation works fine and complete, the audio tool and the video capture tool open stabil and very fast, but the the video editor tool don't start. i have make a restart, but it makes nothing, no error message, simple nothing!

Any idea? What can i do?

Is your resolution set below 1024x768?

yes, i use 1280x800 Pixel

I know there was an issue about widescreen formats during beta testing, but I believe this was resolved, In any case, even if it did not display correctly, the app should start up. Do you get the splash screen?

The only suggestion I can make is to do a complete uninstall (preferably cleaning register, if you can) and re-install: there is always a remote possibility that a file copied corruptly. Otherwise, it may be necessary to contact Ulead Germany, as we have no experience of the German edition.

I'd probably try a Repair installation before doing a full uninstall/reinstall cycle.
