prblem with inserting image

Post by toshich »

Please help me to solve this problem:
I insert image to timeline, but this image is a photo with vertical orientation and (by default) it is stretched to 4:3 aspect ratio, and thats why it looks horrible.
When I right-click on it and choose an option "Media Source Options", here i can see desired features about aspect ratio and streching method, but modifying them isn't possible - they're disabled. How can I get an access to these options?
Thank you very much for your patience and help.

Download this file;

http://digitalvideo.8m.net/portrait.zip

and follow the installation directions in the text file.

The *.mvp file is a set of two custom moving paths: Portrait and Landscape. Apply Portrait to your image and it'll be scaled to fit the video frame without cutting off and the aspect ratio should also be corrected. Landscape does the same for horizontally formatted photos.

As noted you may need to tweak the moving path settings a bit, but they'll get you in the ball park.

You may also find this handy;

http://digitalvideo.8m.net/24pip.zip

It's a collection of 24 custom picture-in-picture effects. Each set has different sized frames oriented to different quadrants and the center of the video frame. Just drag n drop.

These were generated in MSPro 7 but should work in both 7 and 8 (they do here).

Enjoy.
