Looking To Purchase

Post by adds »

As a charity we are looking at taking old 8mm (analog) movies and converting them into promotional material about our services on DVD's and through emails.

I have looked at Pinnacle Studio Movie Box Deluxe Version 9 which I understand will accomplish this task.

How does Video Studio 8 compare? Will it allow us to accomplish the above as well?

...old 8mm (analog) movies...
I assume 8mm video tape, not 8mm film.

I've never tried Pinnnacle Studio, but I believe that Pinnacle Studio and Video Studio are approximately equivalent. (BTW - Video Studio is now at Version 9.) However, Pinnacle comes with an analog-to-USB capture device! (You are going to need a capture card/device or a digital video camera with analog audio/video inputs.)

Once you have a digital video file, Video Studio can create a DVD or save the video in various video formats.

You can download 30-day trial versions of any/all Ulead software and give it a try. (Don't forget to download the User's Manual.) It is only a 30-day trial, so don't install it 'till you have a capture device.
