When I try to add a slide show to a video that I have edited in Movie factory I go to the add a slide show tab, pick the pictures music transitions etc. and add the slide show to the time line.. It adds it to the chapter menu and plays both the slide show and video on the review. When I try to burn the DVD-R all I get is the menu. There is no video or slide show. Do you have to some how convert the slide show to video or what am I doing wrong
Thanks

I tried again last night after defraging and re starting my computer and had the same results. I have been converting analog tapes with MF 3 for the last year and have had very few problems. This is the first time I have tried to add a slide show.
After failing to add a slide show to a video. I tried to make a slide show by it’s self.
(Using the DVD format.) The slide show looks great in the review but will only play the menu after it is burned. I tried to play the DVD on both my DVD player and Computer with the same results. I haven’t been able to find any good tutorial on making slide shows with MF 3 so I could easily be doing something wrong.
Any ideas?

slideshow
I'm having much the same problem - trying to "just" burn a slide show- after having even more problems getting a dvd+r to play a burned video- I'm starting to think that it's the crappy Ulead tools (if not- why are there so many problem posts on the forum?) - and not the carpenter (us users).

adding a slideshow
Hi all
if you are trying to add a slideshow to a video on the time line - i.e - you want the video to play followed by the slideshow - I have found the following to work
have your video ready on the timeline
now get you slideshow ready (add slideshow, create it etc)
when they are both on the time line, highlight your slideshow box and click the arrows icon at the end which stands for 'export clips' choose to export to fast export dvd compliant video. Once converted, your slideshow can now be joined to your video in the usal way - highlight both and select join video.
PLEASE NOTE**** don't bother editing your video before joining as this will probably be lost. But - if you want to add text/images etc to your slideshow do this before you export and join to video because this can't be edited once converted.
If you simply want to add a slideshow to your timeline along with the videos without joining them, I don't seem to have any problems in doing this. I have various video clips, then I add a slideshow in usual way. I then continue to my menu screen and the slideshows come up as do the videos and this is still the case when the project is burnt to dvd.
Hope this helps
