Metadata templates, batch application

Post by PerfesserKev »

As a long-time Bibble appreciator I thought I would give ASP2 a try to see where development has come. But there seems to be a significant shortcoming for professional photographers like me:

I can't seem to find any way to batch apply metadata (IPTC in particular) to a collection of images either in editing or in output. That means one would need to individually enter caption, credit, contact information one image at a time. If that's the case it is a professional fatal flaw, and not a problem I remember Bibble having.

If I have overlooked something, please inform. If I have not overlooked a button, menu item or option somewhere, then please accept this as a VERY STRONG feature suggestion.

Selective Copy&Paste also works for metadate, Presets as well. And you can set up a copy set that copies all or only specific metadata.

Thanks afx. That is very helpful!

I've found the selective copy and yes, presets makes sense for this. I continue my exploration.

Best,

But selective copy and paste is really tedious, and editing of the presets continues to be broken 5 years after it was reported !

Certainlty still a problem in 2023 unless I'm missing something.
I have tried creating a script in PSP, but that also seems to be hit and miss.
