Hi All,

Been having problems with Paintshop Pro Ultimate 2022, ever since l had to uninstall it (used the hard uninstall info from Alludo) and then re-installed it, the problem l have now is that when l go to open an NEF/Raw file l get the following...Unable to open the file.Please verify that the file is valid.... l've done a repair, cleared temp files even done another uninstall/install and still have the same problem.
Before l done the uninstall l had no problems opening the NEF/RAW files, the same same files will open ok in Aftershot 3, just need to open the same files in PSP.
Can anyone please help.

Have you still got the NEF Codec on your system? It may not be relevant but since it is easy to check it is worth ruling out. If you have, it can be seen under installed apps. You should also be able to open NEF images in Windows Photo.
PSP and Aftershot are very different beasts and it is possible that Aftershot has its own converter for NEF. (Always needed to download some add-in to handle images for a new camera.) I used to use PSP2020 and Aftershot 3 Pro a few years ago but the lack of integration was a pain and Corel's depreciation of geotagging within a then current version was the final nail. I continue to use PSP for a quick fix of a bunch of jpegs but never for RAW.

Many thanks for your reply, yes l can open the files in windows, and also have Nikon codec installed, it's just strange that l had no problems before. But thank you for your help.
