updated post and problem

ok, back again, i have posted earlier that i updated vs from 2020 to 2022, well i had to open a file i was working with in 2020 version (fixing errors before burning to dvd), well I then started to edit it in the new vs 2022 because now 2020 won't open and not able to export media in library. I had to load library from clips in the storyboard mode in the 2022 version. after getting each one in the library one by one I would make my correction then save then scrub or play through what I just did and it did not save, it looked as if I didn't do anything. so I am at a loss, tried different things and nothing seems to work. I hope someone here can help because I don't want to redo the whole thing over. :(
many thanks in advance.

Among the other things that you tried, did you 'Save As' another name for the project, rather than just 'Save' the original name? And when you scrubbed through, were you in Project or Clip mode?
