@Kathy_9: One way to keep the thread relevant would be if you added to your instructions that people should not request features or the ability of PSP to achieve a particular goal until they have confirmed that existing versions do not, in fact, have either a feature that does the same thing or the ability to achieve a certain goal/objective with their images. If uncertain, they should first ask in the main forum whether the existing PSP can, in fact, meet their needs. While the minority, those types of things do appear in previous Wish Lists and it's difficult not to reply pointing out that what they want to do can be accomplished with existing versions. Just a thought.

I have to admit, I am hugely disappointed that PSP cannot save to SVG format yet. I know we can open an SVG file, but why not the option to save as either?

My yearly wishes... 😉

1. Working with larger color spaces than sRGB, at least Adobe RGB, preferably larger color spaces.
2. Double click on control sliders should set them to zero
3. It was a nice move to include After Shot Pro. There should be a way to select that as standard in preferences, so the program don't need to ask every time.
4. If you like to work with AI stuff, try to achive it in the RAW devolpment module for noise control....

Best

A built in plug-in bridge for 32-bit plug-ins since the 32-bit version of PSP has been dropped.

I have a pretty long wishlist but here are some of the most obvious:

- ability to open eps files as vector; so many vector resources are only available in eps format.
- adjust the Layer Styles to be more in line with the "traditional" commands they use; there is a lot of potential for this non-destructive way to modify images, but the settings are awful to use
- Allow Smart Photo fix to show other layers than the active one; in order to match colors and such, it is illogical not to have access to the layers you want to match to.
- Still dreaming of a raster to vector conversion (or even if we had a selection to vector conversion). So much can be done with vectors in scripts, and many many effects could be created to add to photos.

Would be really nice if selection sizes and object sizes were identified somewhere (maybe in the status bar or in the particular tools option bar). Currently you never know the size of an object or selection.

For instance, if i bring a clipart object into the image (say with a paste as new layer) and I want that clipart to be so many inches by inches or pixels by pixels, there is currently no way to determine that. If I select the clipart with the pick tool then the tool options bar has lots of information, but not the size of the object. would be nice if the options tool bar for appropriate tools also showed the size in pixels, inches, or centimeters (user choice). This would make editing and arranging "things" much simpler.

I didn't make my wish list for PSP2023, because since PSP2021 not one of my list have been wished, only one with PSP2023...

- Full TIF Zip and CCITT 4 compression support
- Better RAW converter (with shadow and highlight recovery, vignetting reduction, more lens corrections with own samples like in Aftershot)
- Camera RAW Lab context menu when disabled in manage or complete mode
- Better HSL dialog (like Lr with colours sliders) with three tabs H, S and L
- Better hue map (horizontal with +/- 0 position) perhaps integrated in the HSL dialog
- More layers blend modes
- Lr template converter
- FLIF, HEIC or JPEG XL format support (open and save)
- Better Exif informations like Exiftools...
- RGB to layers and back
- CMYK to layers and back
- Close and open groups of layers in PSPScript
- Geotagging (at least copy-paste of tags)
- AI masking
- Remembering what was the last selected photo of a folder in Organizer

The ability to lock toolbars.
It should have been there years ago.

Still and again
Build in something like puppet warp as in photoshop.

Puppet Warp
Puppet Warp provides a visual mesh that lets you drastically distort specific image areas, while leaving other areas intact. Applications range from subtle image retouching (such as shaping hair) to total transformations (such as repositioning arms or legs).

Linear Light blend mode. That would enable PSP to do true frequency separation. Ken, the Make Shop Pro guy, demonstrated frequency separation with Hard Light, but he admitted that it's not truly accurate (too much accutance or sharpening). PSP should have directly supported frequency separation long before this.

Another wish is possibility like smart objects in photoshop.
Thus something more than the new feature in 2023:
In your projects, align objects with precision in no time with new Snap to Objects feature. Use the bounding box to precisely snap two objects together with an automated high-level control and avoid extra steps in the editing process.

I have a long list of things that should be included in PSP, I just list two that are the most important for me:
a. More color spaces, at least Adobe RGB. Almost all cameras in the market can create raw files in the Adobe RGB color space. Adobe RGB has a greater color gamut than sRGB. When you import the photo, taken with the Adobe RGB color space, onto PSP, the first thing that happens is that PSP converts the photo to sRGB.
b. Allows to do frequency separation

Instead of a button to lock transparency, I would prefer to right click. I’m getting repetitive motion arm distress! :)

When I click on a layer, I would like it to be visible on the layers palette, not just highlighted. I want it to auto-scroll right to it so I see it instead of having to scroll myself.

I want Film Grain to be a choice I can easily find. I thought I used to use it all the time, and now I can’t find it.
