greyed out prompt
Does anyone know why the (export to video studio) would be greyed out in corel motion studio 3d? that's the only prompt greyed out. Is motion studio dead now? Im doing a trial and not sure im keeping it going. Maybe not compatible now? any thoughts would be appreciated.

I have no idea if it is dead, though the fact that Corel have not touched it for many years suggests that it is at the very best dormant. However, given the changes in VS and the total lack of change in MS3D, I would think it likely.
That being said, the direct export of output to VS is not the only way to save what you do in MS3D. You can still edit and produce a new video of a title, say. And then with that new title, open VS separately and then insert the new title saved as, say, an mpg... So I wouldn't write it off completely simply because you can no longer link it directly with VS. My only complaint about MS3D is how slow it is. It produces superb titles, but I always found that producing a 10 second title took a very much longer time just for the rendering of the new video, quite apart from the actual editing itself.
So I guess one has to make an assessment these days as to whether there are a wide variety of other programs which can also produce high quality title videos in very much shorter times...

My only thought goes back to the time when Corel disabled the option to save VSP as backward compatibility, now VSP’s can only be opened with the version of Video Studio they were created with or a newer version, did those changes affect MS3D????
As for MS3D, I am not sure that exporting to Video Studio was any more beneficial than creating a video file, exporting as far as I remember allowed VS to open a C3D file, similar to opening an animated Gif which is still available along with creating video files, various types being available.
You could of course save your MS3D file as a .c3d file then import to Video Studio, which I believe is still an option, at least works for VS2021, although I believe c3d files were quite demanding on Video Studio with slow responses.
