Freeze frame in smart proxy files VS2021 ultimate

I have just realized a serious issue.

My source files are 4K and the project is 1080p.
I am using smart proxy to ease of edit. All source files have the proxy file ready.
In the timeline if I create a "Freeze frame" in from the 4k source with Smart proxy the result is terrible. So I need to close the smart proxy, take the freeze frame and open the smart proxy again.
In any case the "freeze frame" should use the source 4k and get a clear image. I believe this is a serious bug.

If you search the postings, you'll find that Smart Proxy has been causing rendering and Snapshot issues for years, e.g. https://forum.corel.com/viewtopic.php?t ... smartproxy. The workaround in these cases is to disable Smart Proxy when rendering or taking a Snapshot.

In any case the "freeze frame" should use the source 4k and get a clear image. I believe this is a serious bug.

Apart from what tletter has already written, to get the 4K version of the snapshot, I suspect in this case you might have to take it in Clip mode since the clip in this case has larger properties (3840 x 2160) than in Project mode (1920 x 1080).

This is a serious bug needs to be fixed. For example I am doing trailer review videos were I freeze frame and zoom in on some details in the screen. Disabling smart proxy in such video editing makes this feature non sense. Corel should fix this.
