The lack of RAW support is really starting to become a problem for me with AfterShot Pro 3. The only format supported (from any of my devices, at least) appears to be the old CR2 format.
CR3 (which superseded CR2 years ago) is still not supported.
DNG is not supported (which means I can't use any raw photos from my DJI drones), even though this format has been around since at least 2015 (likely much earlier).
It's hard to stay committed to a company when they won't update their products. I make a point of saying that I exclusively use Corel software for my work, but that will have to change soon, if AfterShot Pro doesn't get updated. Even low-end programs like PhotoPad support CR3 and DNG, why doesn't AfterShot Pro?
And to make things worse, PaintShop Pro supports it. And when I import one of them into PSP, it (rather ironically) suggests that I should be using AfterShop Pro "for better results with RAW!". That's great, and I'd love to, but the program won't import them.
What's going on, Corel?
when are newer RAW formats going to be supported in AfterShot Pro?

Re: when are newer RAW formats going to be supported in AfterShot Pro?
Well, I found the camera install for my mirrorless, so that solves problem #1.
The problem with the DJI drones/cameras still exists, though. Judging by comments made online, Corel doesn't seem to understand what they are.
With this appearing to be an abandoned product at this point, I guess I'll have to rely on converting it to TIFF via another program, then importing the TIFF. Very disappointing.

I'm not sure if you are really interested in After Shot Pro, given your other expression of interest in Pinnacle Studio. If it is still the latter, then, as you already guessed there, this forum doesn't look after Pinnacle. For that you will need to go to http://forums.pinnaclesys.com/forums/default.aspx and register again.
But if interested still in ASP, then please wait and hopefully someone will come along to help.

Yes, I use both, as they serve different purposes.
I also use Paint Shop Pro Ultimate, which does read the DNG files from DJI drones. But ASP won't.

Eh?
It's entirely possible to be interested in two different programmes that do two different things, Ken - there's no mutual exclusivity attached to using a video editor and a Raw converter.
No, they won't.But if interested still in ASP, then please wait and hopefully someone will come along to help.
That's kinda the point.

Re: when are newer RAW formats going to be supported in AfterShot Pro?
Yes, RAW file camera support is an issue with ASP3. You would think Corel or whomever owns them now would want to keep their program updated, especially to work with their other programs such as Paintshop Pro, etc.
