Corel where are you?

Post by DaPaleRider »

Disappointed in Corel

I am very disappointed in Corel, especially in the development of Aftershot. Or rather no development.

I am a user of ASP3, a program that dates from 2016. Since 2016 there have been no innovations at all, only bug fixes and some cameras added to the profile list

On this forum I read several messages and questions about ASP development. A few years ago this was also discussed, in which Corel's poor communication or non-communication was criticized. I have the feeling that I travel back to time, because Corel does not communicate at all with ASP users on this forum.

The most questionable question is what the future of ASP is. Is there still a future? And Corel, if there is no future for ASP, just say it, because saying nothing is antisocial behavior towards people who payed and still purchasing this software.

I fully agree. I really liked ASP, but I think it's time to move to Darktable.

AfterShot is dead. It basically exists only as an item to make PSP Ultimate look more attractive, and as a way to sieve money from naive users who unknowingly purchase abandonware and don't bother asking for a refund within the alloted time period.

I was thinking this the other day, why haven't they updated the software in ages. I'm glad its not just myself that's questioning this.

Its now halfway through 2022 and even though this forum shows complaints dating back several years, there are still no updates to Aftershot in any form, yet Corel continue to promote this flawed, outdated, underperforming, overpriced product as though it is the ultimate solution to RAW editing.
I doubt this post will even get a second glance from Corel, (that is if they still monitor it).
Having first been loyal to JASC and then Corel, my purchases ceased in 2017 when it became clear they have lost interest in their followers.
Now I am officially retired, it's doubtful that I'll live long enough to receive the courtesy of a reply.
