Sad to see that Corel removed any possibility to geotag your photos.
I wish they left that text boxes to let us enter coordinates manually.

Re: [Sticky] -- What Do You Like/Not Like About PSP 2021
First impressions: I like it!!!
If you look closely, it is a lot of old stuff in a new outfit, but I like it.
Reported problems with plugins seem to have passed my door. The one that doesn't work, I am happy to grant retirement.
I still have PSP 2019 and 2020 installed, in which they work. You have to accept that plugins that were written in the naugties are ready to retire.
I am happy to use the plugin/effects that come with PSP itself and a few I know will work anyway, like Filters Unlimited
I work more and more with the 64-bit PSP and use the 32-bit to answer questions and help solve problems (mostly with plugins).
I like the different workflows.
PSP itself seems unchanged. Hope that doesn't mean they really haven't listned to users. I only worked with it for one day now, so a lot still to be discovered
If it turns out to be a stable version...I am quite happy with this new version

I don't think it's worth the purchase just because the filters don't work.
I will therefore not purchase the new Corel if it comes out next year

Some filters work, the only one I have found that doesn't work is Mura's copies. Eye Candy plugins work, even 3.1 and 4000. Someone in the other thread said Xero plugins don't work but they were updated a few years ago to add a 64-bit version and Porcelain does work. I do use Mura's Copies a lot, and Cloud sometimes, but they do work in 2020.

Re: [Sticky] -- What Do You Like/Not Like About PSP 2021
One thing I don't like is the the bug that closes PSP 2021 down if you switch from edit workspace to photography or sea-to-sky.
If you start with the photography workspace you can switch to edit mode without problems, but not the other way round.
You need to restart your computer in order to use 2021 again. If you work in the 64-bit, the 32-bit won't start either until you reboot your pc.
I downloaded the 64-bit Xero just before they shut their website down and it is one of the filters I use. But the 32-bit version works as well.
Eye Candy I never use.
I do the same. Always have a previous version installed in order for older filters to keep working.
I like this new PSP more each time I use it. Been years since I could say that

Re: [Sticky] -- What Do You Like/Not Like About PSP 2021
That's very curious... I had set PSP 2021 to open in Edit workspace, and had no trouble then opening in Photography. However, I have just opened it -- and it opened fine in Complete Edit -- but when I tried to move to Photography, PSP simply crashed, with no message. And I couldn't reopen it...
So I looked in Task Manager, and found it still sitting in Background Processes. I used End Task to close it, and reopened PSP. This time, strangely enough, it opened in the Photography workspace, even though I had set it to open in Complete. So I right clicked on the main screen and chose Complete, which opened without problem.
But I then right clicked again, and again the program crashed. I am sure this hadn't happened before...
Can I ask which version people are showing under Help > About?

Re: [Sticky] -- What Do You Like/Not Like About PSP 2021
What I do not like about PSP 2021 is the issue with embedded adverts as first seen in PSP 2018 and repeated again in PSP 2020. As I expected, once again they are present in PSP 2021.
This annoyance has been reported several times to Corel by many customers yet it is constantly ignored.
I already own the 'outdated by 3 years +' Aftershot pro3 therefore I do not need to be reminded to buy it when I open Camera Raw Lab.

Neither do I wish to be presented with banners inviting me to buy brushes when I use the brush preset tool only to have a web page open if I mouse over in error.

Once again I shall be deleting the trial version without purchase.

It's not very convenient because it will get you in off-line mode, but try blocking PSP in your firewall (it should eliminate the ads, but also the "Get More" functionality and such)Bobby55 wrote:What I do not like about PSP 2021 is the issue with embedded adverts as first seen in PSP 2018 and repeated again in PSP 2020. I am not seeing very much to interest me in paying for PSP 2021 here, and quite a few negatives.
Can anyone get specific about the benefits?

Re: [Sticky] -- What Do You Like/Not Like About PSP 2021
I have been a loyal customer of Corel PSP, purchasing nearly every version and been a member of many PSP groups over the years. I know of a lot of people that use Corel, and the majority use the Filters/plugins, and therefore require the 32 bit version as only a small number of filters/plugins that we use work on 64 bit version. There will be quite a lot of people who may not wish to get version 2021, if they are not able to use the plugins.
We have been doing our hobby for many many years, most using Jasc versions prior to Corel. Yes, they can stick with their older versions for the plugins, but some may not like more than one version installed. Can I ask why they are no longer supporting 32 bit?
I have not bought the new version yet, and not yet decided whether to purchase as I am waiting on feedback on the new features from others.

Under noise removal Corel has decided to replace jpeg artifact removal with AI artifact removal in 2021. What the heck? There is no control with the AI artifact removal which makes it totally inferior! At least with the Jpeg artifact removal you could control the strength and crispness. Bad Bad Bad descision

Could you post an example 'old tool' vs 'AI tool' showing the AI bad result?jrmach wrote:Under noise removal Corel has decided to replace jpeg artifact removal with AI artifact removal in 2021.
