Hi
I don’t have Cool 3d installed at the moment but….I did a quick search of the forum and found this old post,

http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php ... 02#p122148

a link to Planit3d seems to be active http://www.planit3d.com/

May be useful

Post updated --also

There are 4 Model Packs available from the Corel Guide – Do More downloads.
I don’t know what they contain but you could be lucky

Hi

Top right of workstation is an Orange disc, Help product Information

The Learn Tab seems to have a few tutorials that may be useful

Then choose the Do-More tab for downloads

I had thought they were a pack containing a few effects but the packs only contain the one effect.
Maybe it should be labelled Model 1 rather than Model Pack1.

So no TV

Hi tomkat 2006,

The link Trevor gave you for Planit3d is working. I've just downloaded a few items without problem.

You can also find 3DS files on :
1. artist-3d.com : http://artist-3d.com/
2. the3dfreemodels : http://tf3dm.com/3d-models/all/1/3ds.
For 3DS files, you have to go in File/Import 3D Model/3D Studio Model.

In another post you were asking for uez files. I haven't found much on the web, but there is possibility for you to have some via the link below. You have to import them with the Magic Palette Panel. You probably already know that you can export these uez files to Corel VideoStudio, but just in case : File/Export 3D Model/3D Studio Model and it is inserted at the end of your open project in VideoStudio. You can also make your own. I've made an apple and a cube with the help of Gripps (they are in the uez link below). Apple : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_LDBtV ... tml5=False. The cube : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yeB5oabj_JQ. If you go on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2mrhwVf ... 64DF334CAA, you'll see at least 15 videos from Gripps. There are others also on YouTube.

I'v uploaded 82 3DS files that I have and 13 UEZ : https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=1 ... =folder%2c. The 3DS were downloaded from the 2 sites mentioned above.

If you're interested, here's a link for a post I made : http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=59042. At page 2, I've put many links for VideoStudio.

Did you find your TV model ? If not, I've uploaded a few that I've found on a few site, but mainly on archive3d.net : http://archive3d.net/?page=1. There's a lot of 3d model, but it is a little bit long to see all of them.

First, I don't know if 3ds files are compatible with multiple softwares and what are these softwares. 3ds files can be used with Corel MotionStudio 3D which, I assume, you already have. To open any of these files : You have to go in File/Import 3D Model/3D Studio Model of MotionStudio software. In MotionStudio, to open a 3DS file, you have to go in : File/Import 3D Model/3D Studio Model(*.3DS). A window will open as to allow you to get it from your computer. From this time, you can do anything with it (Move it/Rotate it/Change the size). The most important thing to remember is : The « keys ». You have to play your video or move the Orange indicator in the Timeline, change all the Move/Rotate/Size/Colour/Etc. functions you want (Position/Rotation/Scale/Light/Camera/Background/Etc.) to apply the changes to the different keys of your video.

To save what you have downloaded or modified in a « uez » file : Watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_LDBtV ... tml5=False. At 15 min 15, Gripps shows how to add it to your EasyPalette. Once this is done, you can save it as a « uez > file by : Right click on the model in EasyPalette/Export and give it a name. All the links I've given you above in this prior post are excellent to learn about MotionStudio 3DS. There are more videos on YouTube from which you could learn about this software.

Once it is saved, you can import that « uez » file on any computer, modify it, etc. with any software that uses it. You can also export your project to Corel VideoStudio (VS). That your VS is open or not, it inserts it at the end of your Main track (end of your project if VS is open). You can move it wherever you want into your project. NOW IMPORTANT : I don't know why. This used to work very fine on my personal main computer. For personal reasons, I had to uninstall everything prior to my X8 Ultimate version and this doesn't work with it anymore. Is it because of the many recent Windows Updates X7 problems or because I've deleted X6 and prior Ultimate ? (This last is, probably, the mostly main reason). On my family computer : I have VS Ultimate X4, X5 and X6. When I want to export to VideoStudio from MotionStudio, VS X6 Ultimate opens automatically with that new file. For what I can see, if you have at least X6 version still installed on your computer, MotionStudio will export it automatically to it. Does it work with X7 and X9 versions, I don't know. Nevertheless, all « c3d » files can be inserted in VideoStudio just like any picture or video.

All the links in this above post could help you a lot. I know that Corel doesn't give much importance to this software. Once acquired, one more software to not care about. If more Corel VideoStudio or MotionStudio users complaint or give a negative feedback (about MotionStudio vs VideoStudio) maybe, I repeat MAYBE, Corel will do something to upgrade MotionStudio. Corel should remember that if VideoStudio is so popular it is because ULEAD was before them (VideoStudio and MotionStudio).
