AfterShot Pro Update
Hi Everyone,
It’s been a little while since my initial post, but as promised, I wanted to give you a quick update on some of the things we’re working on for AfterShot Pro.
First and foremost, I’m happy to announce that we’re working with Jeff Stephens to release some new camera profiles. I'm extremely pleased about this and I hope you are too. More details will be made available to you as soon as we have a complete list of which camera profiles we’ll be releasing. We anticipate somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 new cameras.
Next up, noise removal. As you know, we had to remove Noise Ninja from AfterShot Pro and it is no longer a part of the application when someone buys a new version of AfterShot Pro. This does not affect existing users -- you may continue using Noise Ninja as you always have. Since we lost Noise Ninja however, we’ve been looking for a suitable replacement and we have finally found something that we feel exceeds what we had. At this stage, we still need to evaluate the work that needs to be done. More details to come on this.
Lastly, future updates. AfterShot Pro is indeed an active product at Corel and we intend to deliver future updates. There is not enough I can say about what an amazing product it is and we know we have a real gem on our hands. This is expressed through the passion of the community and through those of us who have made the switch from other products. We feel there is so much more we can do with AfterShot Pro and we need to prioritize what we do to ensure we are focused on the things that are the most meaningful for you. To do this, we will be conducting a survey with our registered users, so please stay tuned for that!
As always, I am very interested in one-on-one conversations with you -- they have already been influential in planning our most recent steps. Thank you to everyone who has engaged in this dialogue and I’m sincerely looking forward to speaking with more of you throughout the year. In fact, we are looking at sponsoring some upcoming events that I hope will give us a chance to meet in person. Have a great weekend!
Best Regards,
Rick

Thanks for the update Rick.
I really hope you will release an updated version soon; seeing what Adobe is up to these days, we really need an alternative we can believe in.

Re: AfterShot Pro Update
Thanks for the update Rick.
I hope that having Jeff back in the team you will be able to send us some new code for testing in the near future so that the old product can be improved and brought up to date.
Most important for many of us is the provision of RAW format support. Addition of new features to AfterShot Pro are always nice but without support for the latest cameras' RAW formats then the product becomes less useful.
Please can we have regular updates on progress and if possible some road map of where AfterShot Pro is going.
If you wish to contact me then my profile has my contact details.
Thanks
Jonathan

Re: AfterShot Pro Update
Hi,
great to hear and great that Corel/you going on reading the forum and talking with people directly!
Here are my favorites:
1. New Cam support even i`m not planning a new cam.
2./3. Bugs (I think the monkey can tell you)
3./2. Seems there are Problems with the SDK. ASP is as good as its Plugins, so please remove them.
6. Catalog features
7. New features
8. Speed
Regards
Trucks

hi,,
i agree with 'Trucks'
1. camera support
2. bugs
3. SDK - there are indeed some things in to be tuned. i already put that twice in the surveymonkey - so you should have a look at that, too.

Re: AfterShot Pro Update
hello, thanks for your answer and sorry for my poor English.
I have the latest version of Zframe, but had to backload the previous version of ASP ( 1.0.1.10) to make it work fine..

Thanks for the up date Rick. Communications is more important than often realized. Corel now has hold of a goose that could be 'cooked' or lay the golden egg. Which will Corel choose?

Thanks for the update.
I am sure that you will appreciate that it is an updated product that will really convince us that this is more than just hot air.

A lot of my plugins are not working with version 1.0.1.10 too. Can you look into that please?tintin wrote:hi,albernier wrote:hello, thanks for your answer and sorry for my poor English.

Re: AfterShot Pro Update
for that much more information would be needed. the first step should always be to download the latest version of all plugins you are using. then you can point out which plugins make which problems and open an individual thread for each plugin - or at least for each problem. all these then should be handled in the plugins sub-forum.Vinny wrote:A lot of my plugins are not working with version 1.0.1.10 too.
