Completely Stumped...lil help please...

Post by Kintudo »

Downloaded the trial, started it up, worked. Shutdown, came back started it up, and got error 1 stating I need to reinstall.
Ok, I uninstalled, and here is the problem. It wont install. The setup extracts the files, then just closes. No error message...nothing. Ive tried max uninstaller, virus scans, reboot, safe mode, system restore, manual uninstallation of protexis 2..etc...been all over the registry removing all traces of any corel products, licensing software..etc.
Just trying to get a clean reinstall.. Nothing is working.. Im now afraid to purchase the software because I dont know
if it will install. Any suggestions would be appreciated.....other than reformat hard drive..etc.
Also tried creating seperate user account on system..no dice.

Here is some additional info in case anyone out there has a moment of genious.
After another day of trying to install Try Before you Buy Demo.....
I was monitoring the temp file, and the install extracts the files to the temp directory, and as soon as they are extracted,
the installer shows a brief flash of some sort like it was trying to load a UI, then the temp files are deleted and nothing happens. Contacted protexis, but no response yet. Wondering if flexnet licensing could be causing a problem.
So I tried to "capture" the temp files before they were deleted, and paste them into another folder on a different drive.
Tried to run from there, but the same result. Attempted install w/o virus protection, firewall off, safe mode..same results.
Started to run ComboFIx, but decided not worth the risk, Ive had issues with the dreaded NTLDR boot problem from that before.
My opinion, it HAS to be some sort of DRM software that says.."hey, you cant install this". Will I get the same result if I buy the non trial version? Risky.

Re: Corel Motion 3d fails to instal

Post by Bertand123 »

I bought 3D Motion and received download link by e-mail.
After the software was downloaded the program fail to install.
I noticed a pop up-windows where some files were propably extracted bud this windows closed after a few seconds and that was it;
No program installed .
The program has functioned in the past, bud by an unknow reason it stopt working.
So I tried to install again with the downmload link with the result mentioned above.
i also tried to remove all the elements of Motion 3D from my computer before reinstalling.
