Runtime error

Post by bobbie »

I have Corel Movie Factory 7, worked fine for about 10 DVDs, now I get a runtime error at around 60% of burning process and program terminates. Can any one shed some light on what might be the problem. I am not really smart with computers but I get by.

It usually has something to do with the audio/video file(s) you are feeding-in... It could be a small glitch (slight corruption) in the file, or it could just ba a format or (format variation) that Movie Factory has trouble with.

What format are your files? Are they the same format, and from the same source/camera as the other DVDs you've made?

You may need to convert the files to a different format (i.e. DVD compatible MPEG-2) before editing & DVD authoring. And, you may need to use a 3rd party utility for that conversion.

Thank you DVDDoug for the reply to my problem it is very much appreciated. The files I am using all came from the same video camera, I will put together another project to burn and see if that sorts out any corrupt files, I will inform you of the result when I get to create a new project

Did you Windows Vista recently installed an update? That is the only possible reason that I can see cause the problem. You can also try and download all DMF 7 update at http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/ ... 5525182943
