Paint Shop Pro X2 install Windows 7
I bought Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 Ultimate for my computer with Windows XP installed but before I could install it, my computer died. Now I have a new computer but I'm unable to find out if I can install it on my new computer that has Windows 7 64 bit OS insalted. The box says "Microsoft Windows Vista or Windows XP, with the latest service packs installed. Is there a software download that will enable me to use it or do I have to get a latter version like Photo X3 or something latter? Any help will be appreciated.

Re: Paint Shop Pro X2 install Windows 7
Why am I having so many problems with PSP X2 P Ultimate?
I can't open it anymore unless I click on the Pop Up from Corel that asks do I need Help, click.. Yes or No.
If I click NO, it won't open. I have to click Yes and then it opens, but it isn't right.
I click on the Yes all the time but I really don't know if someone is working on it or what I am supposed to do.
Can some tell me how to fix this? Yesterday when I phoned Corel, a technician said he would help.
He was in my Puter fixing it. I don't know if he was finished but I went to bed near 2:00 AM. Now it's 2:20AM.
I can see my desktop through the holes below the toolbar and where the browser should be, and I can't see the File, View, Edit as the Text, is very small.
[I just had my eyes tested so that's not the problem.]
I rec'd a notice that said someone had installed a critical update in PSP somtime ago.
I saw a Corel Critical Update in the Control Panel, so I deleted it.
Then it decided to uninstall and I panicked. I really don't know what I did. I stopped, I know that.
Then It said to troubleshoot or something like that at the left hand top, and then told to put my CD in
the DVD player. So I did. It didn't run long. ShouId I uninstall and reinstall PSP X2 P Ultimate?
I don't want to lose my photos. Seems I have already lost some.
I bought the PSP X2 P Ultimate CD when I had XP. I asked if I could use it as I can't get in my Dell XP.
XP PC which has OE. So I am stuck with Windows 7 using PSP X2 Photo Ultimate.

Re: Paint Shop Pro X2 install Windows 7
I had problems with PSP PX2 doing whacky things on me for the past 4 mos.
Everytime I would open it, Corel would ask me if I want them to fix it. 'Yes' was my answer.
Finally, I ran out of patience on Saturday, as I had been working for a bit on a frame & Photo,
nothing much and I was just sitting not even touching my PC and looking at it, wondering what to do
next?
Then, it just disappeared, and the screen in PSP went white, I have it grey, as it is easier for me
to see, and anyway I am used to that colour. So I Uninstalled PSP P2 Ultimate from the Control Panel
in Windows 7.
To get to the point, I tried to install it again, I have the CD which I bought from Corel,
and someone said I had to have a previous download to download PSP X2. Well I have PSP X1 but it
isn't installed. Now I remember, we needed X1 to install PSP X2 when I bought it.
I have no other PSP's installed.
I have registered all my PSP's since VS 7 which is Jasc, which I installed yesterday, I think, I don't
remember how to use X2 nevermind VS 7 and I tried to get the updates, I know I had 7.04 on one
PC. Found the place, but no luck. They say I'm not registered. I always use my same name to register.
So How do I install PSP X on this flaming PC?

Upgraded to Windows 7 64bit
Installed PSP X2 giving the key on install - it worked fine for the duration of a trial period - now it reports trial expired.
Customer Support simply responds Buy X4 - as it worked under Windows 7 I am reluctant to replace it.

Re: Paint Shop Pro X2 install Windows 7
I use PSP X2 on a windows 7 laptop PC. It has worked fine for several months but now when I attempt to start it appears to be starting normally but gets to the point of having the window up and the logo frame showing then just sits there and does nothing. If I try to click on something it goes white and sez it's not responding. I bought it through corel and it is registered but I think I got it via download so I don't have the disk. Can someone help here????

Re: Paint Shop Pro X2 install Windows 7
I have Windows 7 and i am running all versions, from 8 to X4 without problems so even if it does not specifically say it is compatible, it should work.

Re: Paint Shop Pro X2 install Windows 7
Worked fine on my win 7 too until it just froze one day and won't get through the start up any more. I have removed it and reinstalled it a couple times but it just does the same thing. Is there any way to completely wipe all PSP X2 files and do a clean install? There is obviously something that isn't getting removed that is corrupted and just keeps messing things up when I reinstall? I think it has something to do with the file manager.

You could try Revo Uninstaller.
PSPX9 | PSP2020 | PSP2021| PSP2022 | PSP2023 & PhotoMirage installed; PSPX | PSPX2 thru PSP2019 owned but not installed

Re: Paint Shop Pro X2 install Windows 7
Try Compatibility Mode in Windows 7, instructions at following link, or take advantage of Corel's Black Friday sale and get PSP X7 for $38 which includes a lot of freebies. Also, the new PSP X7 in 64 bits is really fast compared to older versions.
